How to get to KAIST

By Train

There are three kinds of trains in Korea. KTX is the high-speed train with very comfortable seats, which also is the most expensive one. Saemaeul-ho and Mugunghwa-ho are ordinary trains but tickets are much cheaper. There are two railway stations in Daejeon: Daejeon Station (Tel. 042-253-8150~4) and Seodaejeon Station (042-522-7789)

KTX Routes

If you travel to Seoul by KTX, you should check your station carefully as there are two options.

  • KTX Honam Line: Seoul-Seodaejeon (West Daejeon)
  • KTX Gyeongbu Line: Seoul-Daejeon

* You can check out http://info.korail.com/2007/eng/eng_index.jsp
