Graduate School of Culture Technology

As digital technology has brought about changes to everyday life, brisk exchange among diverse fields of study has been promoted encompassing science technology, the humanities, art, and design. Furthermore, the convergence of science technology and culture art is expanding into the culture-industrial dimension to reinforce national competitiveness.

Meanwhile, the development of the culture industry is increasingly leaning toward technology, namely "digital technology". KAIST Graduate School of Culture Technology(GSCT), founded in September 2005, is the first graduate school of convergence technology in the Republic of Korea. It seeks to create a new realm of study where digital media and culture industry could successfully be converged into one. In this regard, science technology, the humanities, social science, business, art, and design could generate a significant synergy effect, put altogether.

KAIST GSCT has simultaneously pursued its bilateral goals to cultivate global high-caliber talents that combine knowledge and refinement for the socio-humanities, management, and science technology, and to develop CT technology that contributes to the advancement of culture industry.
