"BONG IHN KOH Cello Solo Recital"
Tchaikovsky International Youth Concours Winner

Having received first prize at the Tchaikovsky International Youth Competition, cello category in 1997, and the Landgrave von Hesse prize at the Kronberg Cello Master's Class in 2000, Bong Ihn Koh began to surface as a star cellist in Europe. Performing with world famous musicians and participating in various performances, Bong Ihn Koh also held several solo recitals and concerts while studying biology at Harvard University. He majored biology and music through a joint program at Harvard/New England Conservatory (NEC), graduated from Harvard in June 2008, and is currently enrolled as a master's degree student at the New England Conservatory. Koh is engaged in research on hematopoietic stem cells at the Harvard Stem Cell Research Center. His performances are receiving rave reviews from both the local and international music communities.
