Computer Science Department at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) invites applications for the position of Department Head. We seek an individual with visions for the future growth and directions as a world-leading department, strong proven leadership at all levels, high international and scholarly reputation or equivalent qualifications from the industry. The appointment is for five years with possible reappointment.

Computer Science Department at KAIST is the first computer science program established in Korea and has produced leaders for the academia and IT industry. We have 47 tenured or tenure-track faculty members and about 668 students (269 undergraduate, 169 masters and 230 PhD students). With four decades of history, KAIST is a leading education and research institute in Korea that has ranked consistently #1 in many important national rankings and ranked 21st in The Times ranking among the world’s top 100 technology universities in 2009.
