The former conferment ceremony 2006 will take place as follows:

1. Date: 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 2, 2007

2. Venue: Amphitheater

3. What has been changed:

  - The ceremony will take place only once with all degree candidates and their families in the place, while having been held twice in the morning and the afternoon in the past.

  - The first graduates will be invited (92 graduates who received their master degrees in 1975).

  - Candidates, professors, the first graduates, and the invitees will gather at the waiting place first, and then march into the ceremony place.

  - The invited CEO will make a speech.

  - Honorary doctor degrees will be conferred

  - The president will confer the degree on each and every candidate ? bachelor, master, and doctor.

  - “Graduation hood-wearing ceremony” for doctor degree candidates will take place at each department or college (refer to the information by each college).

4. Matters to be attended to for candidates

  - Candidates should gather at the predesignated waiting place, not going to the ceremony place directly, to receive a seat number in the ceremony place and the order for receiving degrees, and then march into the ceremony place, following the helper with department flag.

  - Candidates with no seat number and degree-receiving order or going to the ceremony place directly are not allowed to receive degrees on the stage and have a seat for candidate.

  - Waiting place for candidates

     o Candidates for bachelor and master degree should arrive at the undergraduate gymnasium (N3) by 1 p.m.

     o Candidates for doctor degree should arrive at the auditorium in Chung-Moon-Sul building (E16) by 1 p.m.

  “Candidates are advised to keep themselves warm since they have to stay outdoors for about 2 hours in the winter weather.”

5. Waiting place for professors and the first graduates: Joint lecture room in Mechanical Engineering Building (N7), by 1:30 p.m.

  - Professors are asked to put on their own gown, and professors with no gown can borrow a gown at the waiting place.

  - Memorial mufflers will be provided to the first graduates for indication.

6. Limousine bus service from the administration building (E14) to the ceremony place will be provided to the invitees.
