Dear international students,

Hello Everyone.

This is Student Affairs Team Leader.

Happy New Year and I hope every goal you set on the 1st day of 2007 can be accomplished this year.

We are informing you that there are several changes about offering scholarships for international students.

1. Students will get their National Health Insurance fee refunded which had not been refunded until 2006.

-Procedure : Pay National Health Insurance (National Health Insurance is paid 3 months in advance) and submit the receipt to Student Affairs Team. Your payment will be refunded from KAIST. (406,560/ Year)

-Deadline for submitting the receipt: 1st~10th of every month

-The time of getting a refund: 25th of every month

2. IITA, KRF scholarship beneficiaries should keep the passport at Student Affairs Team.

-Reason : For IITA and KRF beneficiaries,

If you are staying in abroad more than 20 days while you are studying at KAIST, your stipend will not be offered. If it is offered already, the stipends should be calculated by days you were in abroad and returned to the scholarship organization.

For the procedure above, you should notice your department office or Student Affairs Team about the departure in advance.

Since these cases (Students leave without notice and their Academic Advisor (Professor) pays the money instead) happen frequently, please keep your passport in the safe of Student Affairs Team.

- Deadline: Submit your passport to Student Affairs Team (MiJin Nicole, Lee In charge of International Students Affairs) until January 26, 2007.
