Legal Procedure Upon Arrival
You are advised to come to OASIS(Office of Advising & Support for International Students) and apply for foreigner registration as soon as you arrive in Korea.

Foreigner Registration
Foreigners intending to stay in Korea for more than 90 days after entry are requested to apply for Foreigner Registration within 90 days of their arrival in Korea. However, all KAIST international students are strongly advised to come to OASIS upon their arrival at KAIST in order to apply for Foreigner Registration.
_Required documents:
- Application Form (available from OASIS)
- Passport
- Certificate of Enrollment (available form an automated machine on the 1st floor of the Creative Learning Building(E11))
- One passport-size photo
- Fee: One Revenue Stamp valued at 10,000 won(purchasable from KAIST Post office)
Extension of Stay
You should extend your Stay Period before it expires. See your foreigner registration card and check your Stay Period. Please make sure to come to OASIS and apply for the extension 30 days before its expiration date.

- Application Form (available from OASIS)
- Passport
- Foreigner Registration Card
- Certificate of Enrollment (available form an automated machine on the 1st floor of the Creative Learning Building(E11))
- Transcript(available from the machine in E11)
- Certificate of Scholarship or Receipt for Tuition Fee
- (Certificate of Scholarship can be issued from Student Affairs Team and Receipt for Tuition Fee from the machine in E11)
- Fee: Three Revenue Stamps valued at 10,000 won(purchasable from KAIST Post office)
Obligations to Report Changes to the Details in Foreigner Registration Card
If any of the following incidents should occur to a registered foreigner, it must be reported to Daejeon Immigration Office within 14 days from its occurrence. You can come to OASIS and apply for it.
Incidents to report
- Change of name, sex, birth of date or nationality
- Change of passport number, issuance date or its expiration date
- Change in place of residency
