Apartments in Gung-dong

The apartments in Gung-dong are five minutes by car from the campus. They can accommodate a total of 70 families of married graduate students. Each unit has a floor space of 49.5 square meters and is equipped with gas supplying facility. The apartment complex includes a playground for children. Elementary and middle schools are located within 200 meters from the apartments.

 

These apartments cannot be applied for via online system. Applicants should individually contact Student Welfare Services (1st floor, E11).

 

 

Foreigners Dormitory (Noori Hall)

The new dormitory complex near the Expo Park which was completed in August 2007 is available for foreign students. The property with a total of 224 units and two others for handicapped people was built as a joint project of KAIST and several local universities in Daejeon. KAIST can use 42 units, each of which can accommodate two students.

 

Each room is furnished with an air-conditioner (students should pay the extra power cost for cooling), beds, closets, chairs, etc. and all rooms have private washrooms. The building is equipped with a gym, a dining room and two kitchens. On the first floor are a snacks store and a fitness room equipped with cycles, treadmills, etc.

 

Application can be made online just as on-campus dormitory. International students have priority over Korean students.
