Apply for Housing

Application

Applications for on-campus dormitories and Noori Hall can be made online via KAIST Web site (log on to http://kds.kaist.ac.kr with your student No). Application period is for three days around the end of each semester and is announced in the school calendar at the beginning of the school year.

All applications go through a computerized balloting system as the combined capacity of dormitories is not enough to accommodate all who need them. Note that competition for "preferred room" is very high so it depends on student's luck. The results then will be announced within a month and students have less than a week to pack up and move in. Therefore, it is very important to keep an eye on dormitory schedule and do it on time.

For inquiries, please contact Student Welfare Services Team.

Accommodation for Visitors

Visitors can meet residents at lounges, but the dormitory deans can designate specific places for meeting for some special occasions. Dormitory deans have duties to record visiting time and verify visitors’ identifications, and visitors should follow their instructions.

Visitors can meet residents after showing their identification (student cards, resident registration cards, driver's license, etc.) to dormitory deans.
