• Campus Police
Operation Purpose
Because most of the students in KAIST live in the laboratories and domitories, the institute established and has been managing the capus police system since November 1996 in order to maintain public peace and oder and create an academic atmosphere.
Main Tasks
- Maintaining public peace and order in the campus
- Prevention of fire and theft
- Instruction and control of the traffic safety
- Campus patrol for fire and crime prevention
- Restricting unauthorized entrance to the campus
- Treatment and evacuation of the emergency patient (cooperation)
- Other requests made by the president
Status
- Number of campus police: 10 (3 in daytime, 3 in night with shift work)
- Operation Method: 3 groups, 3 shifts
