Automatic Fire Extinguishing
In case of early fire
The first one to notice fire must announce it with loud voice, and immediately attempt to extinguish the fire with the fire extinguisher, sand, or the fire hydrant. One must beware not to suffocate or be trapped in the fire. But the primary measure is to call the fire station. When the early extinguishing seems difficult, call the disaster prevention center(Tel.4000) and the fire station(Tel.119) without hesitation and evacuate. In doing so, the exit door must be closed to slow down the combustion.
Tip for safe Evacuation
- Cover your face and body with wet blankets or towel.
- Watch for heat and smoke to find evacuation rout away from the fire, choose the exit either to the first floor or to the roof whishever is closer.
- When passing through smoke or heat, lower your body and reduce your body movement to minimum to not inhale smoke too much.
- Take the stairs instead of the elevator, because you may be trapped in the elevator due to powder failure.
- Pay attention to the emergency exit signs at A accomodations and amusement quarters.
- Overcome th fear to judge calmly and accurately.
- Avoid rest rooms or dead-ends of hallways during evacuation.
- Hang towels out the window or the door, or if you hear someone outside, wave the towel to ask for help.
