Automatic Certificate Issuance On-campus for Applicants Vending Machine Issuance

자동발급기 발급 : 설치장소,이용시간,방법의 내용을 확인 하실 수 있습니다.
Location KAIST Main Campus(Bldg. E11, 1st floor) and KAIST Seoul Campus(Bldg. 1)
Hours of Operation 24 hours on weekdays
Please use the facility during operating hours(9a.m-6p.m, Mon-Fri). Those with an entrance key card may access the building at anytime

Manual Application for Certificate Issuance

Certificates (4 types) Certificate of Expectant Graduate (Undergraduate), Certificate of Expectant Degree Conferment (Master/Ph.D.), Certificate (Master/Ph.D.), Year Completion Certificate (Undergraduate)
Method The following documents need further verification, and therefore, the student must receive verification from their advising professor and department official on the issuance application form before submitting it to the Academic Registrars Team.

Original Contrast Click the “Original Contrast” icon on the certificate issuance application screen and then insert the internet issuance number for original contrast.
Payment Credit card and cell phone payments are accepted(Free for students on the register and a leave of absence)

Certificate Issuance via Fax

FAX 민원 신청 발급 :방법의 내용을 확인 하실 수 있습니다.
Method The student may be issued a certificate by sending in their application via fax to any administrative district and district office of a a “eup” (town), or “myun” (village)
Fax cost: 300 KRW

Precautionary Measures

  • Online issuance of certificates is available only for first time registrants to the certificate homepage. (It is recommended that the certificates be printed in color) To be issued a certificate, the applicant must fill out the prescribed form which can be gotten from any administrative district and/or district office.
  • For those expecting to study abroad, a request for English certificates must be made to KAIST and the following must be completed.
    • Get an air-mail envelope with the school name(KAIST) printed on it from the Academic Registrar‘s Team Office.
    • Insert the issued certificate in that.
    • Mail the certificate to the relevant international school after taking the sealed envelope.
  • If your English name is not in the school’s academic data system, or if your name needs to be changed or modified to match your passport name, apply for school records change in the Academic System(Academic Records-> Apply School Records Change)
  • If the vending machine in E11 is not operating properly, please contact 042-350-2055.
  • Note that the building in which the vending machine is located is closed after business hours. Those with an entrance key card may access the building at anytime, but for those who do not possess and entrance key card, please use the facility during operating hours. (9a.m–6p.m, Mon-Fri)
  • Those applying for certificates manually need to submit an additional form verified by their adviser and by your department office. That form must then be submitted to the Academic Registrar’s Team before the certificate can be issued.
